Educational Qualification
Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Civil Engineering from a recognized university.
With a business management degree will be considered an added advantage.
PMP certification or equivalent professional certification will be considered an advantage.
Experience
At least 10 years of professional experience in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Infrastructure Development, Facility Management, or Industrial Engineering.
Experience in a reputed Corporate Office, Real Estate, Construction, Manufacturing, or Textile/RMG organization.
Experience in corporate office facility management and factory infrastructure projects will be highly preferred.
Practical experience in renovation, interior fit-out, structural maintenance, and utility-related civil works is highly desirable.
Position Purpose
The incumbent will be responsible for planning, supervising, and coordinating all civil engineering activities of the Corporate Office and Factory, including infrastructure development, building construction, renovation, maintenance, structural integrity, utility-related civil works, and engineering compliance. The role will ensure that all civil projects are executed efficiently, safely, within budget, and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Civil Engineering Project Management
Plan, coordinate, and supervise civil engineering projects for both the Corporate Office and Factory.
Prepare project plans, BOQ, technical specifications, estimates, tender documents, and project schedules.
Monitor project progress, quality, timelines, and project budgets.
Coordinate with architects, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
Review project drawings and ensure compliance with approved designs.
Verify contractor bills and certify completed works.
Construction & Infrastructure Development
Supervise the construction of new buildings, office spaces, warehouses, roads, drainage systems, and other infrastructure.
Monitor renovation, remodeling, expansion, and repair projects.
Ensure proper execution of RCC works, steel structures, masonry, finishing works, waterproofing, and structural maintenance.
Monitor site quality, workmanship, and construction safety.
Ensure compliance with approved engineering specifications and construction standards.
Building & Facility Maintenance
Supervise preventive and corrective maintenance of Corporate Office and Factory buildings.
Monitor structural conditions of buildings and recommend necessary repairs.
Coordinate maintenance of boundary walls, internal roads, parking areas, drainage systems, plumbing networks, and landscaping.
Ensure uninterrupted operation of all civil infrastructure.
Factory Engineering Coordination
Although based at the Corporate Office, the incumbent will regularly visit factory locations to:
Monitor ongoing civil construction and infrastructure projects.
Review engineering progress and contractor performance.
Inspect building conditions and recommend corrective actions.
Support factory engineering teams on civil engineering matters.
Coordinate renovation and expansion projects.
Monitor civil maintenance activities across all facilities.
Compliance & Safety
Ensure compliance with BNBC, RAJUK, Fire Service, Department of Environment, and other statutory requirements.
Ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
Conduct structural inspections and engineering risk assessments.
Ensure workplace safety during project execution.
Coordinate statutory inspections and engineering approvals where required.
Budget & Cost Control
Prepare annual civil engineering budgets.
Control CAPEX and OPEX related to civil engineering activities.
Evaluate contractor quotations and recommend technically suitable vendors.
Prepare cost estimates and recommend value engineering initiatives.
Verify contractor payment bills and project variations.
Monitor project expenditures against approved budgets.
Vendor & Contractor Management
Evaluate contractor capabilities and technical proposals.
Monitor contractor performance, work quality, and project delivery.
Ensure contractual obligations are fulfilled.
Coordinate procurement of construction materials and engineering services.
Maintain effective relationships with consultants and service providers.
