• The position is responsible for handling project billing, quantity estimation, drawing preparation and checking, and design analysis. The engineer will coordinate with site and design teams to ensure that drawings, quantities, measurements, and bills are accurate and aligned with project specifications and actual construction progress.

Civil Engineer

Job Context: A Civil Engineer – Billing & Drawing / Design Analyst is typically responsible for preparing and checking construction drawings, quantity calculations, project billing, and design-related documentation. The role combines civil engineering knowledge, AutoCAD/drawing skills, quantity surveying, and design analysis.

Typical responsibilities include:

• Preparing BOQ, quantity take-offs, measurement sheets, and contractor bills.

• Checking bills against approved drawings, site measurements, specifications, and work progress.

• Preparing and modifying AutoCAD/structural/civil drawings.

• Reviewing drawings for dimensions, quantities, constructability, and discrepancies.

• Assisting with design calculations and design analysis for civil/structural works.

• Coordinating with architects, structural designers, contractors, consultants, and site engineers.

• Preparing shop drawings, as-built drawings, and revision drawings.

• Monitoring variations, additional works, and material quantities.

• Maintaining proper project documentation and drawing revisions.

• Supporting site teams by resolving drawing and quantity-related issues.
