Experience:
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in drawing, design, or electrical drafting field.
Specialized Technical Knowledge:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D) for electrical drafting, Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), and layout generation.
- Functional knowledge of Solar PV System components, VFD controllers, and pump wiring systems.
- Basic familiarity with solar software (PVsyst or Helioscope) is an added advantage.
Computer & Administrative Skills:
- Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Good typing skills and functional fluency in both English and Bengali (Bijoy/Avro) for documentation and reporting.
Required Competencies:
- Clear understanding of electrical safety standards, rural power distribution, and renewable energy technologies.
- Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and handle multi-project timelines under pressure.
Responsibilities & Context:

RDF actively leads grassroots and commercial initiatives in Solar Irrigation Pumping Systems, Solar Mini-Grids, Rooftop Solar Power Plants, and community-level electrical distribution infrastructure.
Renewable Energy & Engineering Division
Work Station: Head Office (Dhaka) with field visits.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
CAD Drafting & Solar PV Infrastructure Support
- Draft and prepare detailed 2D CAD layout plans, electrical Single Line Diagrams (SLD), structural mounting layouts, and string arrangements for Solar Irrigation Pumping Systems, On-Grid/Off-Grid Commercial PV Systems, and Solar Mini-Grid projects.
- Assist in site survey evaluations, solar shading measurements, and mapping field layout coordinates for remote project locations.
Electrical Layout Drafting & Installation Support
- Prepare electrical distribution layouts, control panel wiring diagrams, Solar Pump VFD connection schemes, and PFI plant drawings adhering to BNBC, IDCOL, and IEC guidelines.
- Draft cable routing plans, grounding/earthing layouts, and lightning protection system (LPS) drawings.
Cost Estimation & Technical Documentation
- Draft Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and Bill of Materials (BOM) based on design requirements and engineer specifications.
- Update and maintain as-built drawings, schematic revisions, and field reference manuals for installation teams.
Field Supervision & Troubleshooting
- Provide drafting and technical layout guidance to on-site installation technicians.
- Participate in physical testing, commissioning support, and basic troubleshooting of solar PV drives, inverter systems, and field distribution boxes.
