Responsibilities & Context:
✓ Perform preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance of production and utility equipment.
✓ Regularly inspect machinery and identify mechanical abnormalities, faults, and potential failures.
✓ Attend machine breakdowns and ensure minimum possible downtime through effective troubleshooting.
✓ Maintain and monitor equipment such as Ball Mill, Blunger, Agitator, Pumps, Gearbox, Conveyor, Hydraulic/Pneumatic System, High Pressure Casting Machine, Dryer, Kiln, Blower, Compressor, Chiller, and other mechanical equipment.
✓ Perform maintenance of bearings, shafts, couplings, gears, chains, belts, mechanical seals, valves, pumps, and lubrication systems.
✓ Execute scheduled PM activities and ensure PM completion according to the maintenance plan.
✓ Analyze recurring breakdowns and support root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions.
✓ Maintain daily breakdown reports, PM records, machine history, and maintenance documentation.
✓ Coordinate with Production, Electrical, Utility, Store, and other departments for smooth factory operation.
✓ Prepare spare parts/material requisitions and follow up on the availability of critical maintenance spares.
✓ Supervise technicians and maintenance workers during routine, breakdown, and shutdown maintenance.
✓ Support mechanical installation, modification, fabrication, commissioning, and machine improvement projects.
✓ Ensure proper alignment, lubrication, and safe operation of rotating machinery.
✓ Follow all maintenance procedures, safety rules, PPE and LOTO requirements.
✓ Support initiatives for reducing machine downtime, maintenance cost, and energy consumption.
✓ Perform any other duties assigned by the Management/Department Head.
