• 5- 10 years of relevant experience in Quality Control/Quality Assurance in the Real Estate/Construction industry.

• Candidates with experience in high-rise residential/commercial building projects will be preferred.

• Experience with reputed real estate developers or construction companies in Bangladesh will be an advantage.

• Strong knowledge of RCC, structural, civil, architectural and finishing works.

• Good understanding of construction materials, material testing, and site quality inspection procedures.

• Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, MEP and shop drawings.

• Knowledge of BNBC, BDS and standard construction practices in Bangladesh.

• Good knowledge of MS Office and preparation of quality-related reports and documentation.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication and coordination skills.

A reputed real estate/development company is looking for a competent and experienced QC Engineer to ensure the quality of construction works, materials and workmanship across ongoing real estate projects. The incumbent will be responsible for maintaining quality standards in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, project requirements and applicable construction codes and standards in Bangladesh.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and monitor quality of construction works at project sites, ensuring compliance with approved drawings, specifications, BOQ and quality standards.

• Conduct regular inspections of RCC, structural, masonry, plaster, tiling, waterproofing, painting, finishing and other civil works.

• Inspect construction materials including cement, steel, concrete, bricks/blocks, sand, aggregates, tiles, sanitary items and other finishing materials.

• Ensure proper sampling and testing of construction materials through approved laboratories.

• Monitor concrete pouring activities, including slump tests, cube tests, reinforcement placement, form-work, cover, curing and related quality requirements.

• Check reinforcement work, shuttering/form-work, concrete works, brick/block work, plastering, floor and wall finishes and other construction activities before approval.

• Verify construction work against approved architectural, structural, MEP and shop drawings.

• Identify defective or non-conforming works and coordinate with the concerned Project/Site Engineers and contractors for corrective action.

• Prepare and maintain Inspection Requests, Checklists, Test Reports, Site Inspection Reports, Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and other quality-related documents.

• Ensure proper implementation of approved Method Statements, Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and Quality Control Procedures.

• Coordinate with consultants, contractors, subcontractors, project engineers and other stakeholders regarding quality-related matters.

• Monitor the quality of finishing works and ensure proper workmanship before handover.

• Maintain records of material approvals, test results, inspection reports and quality documentation for individual projects.

• Assist in preparing periodic quality reports and highlight major quality issues and risks to management.

• Ensure compliance with BNBC and relevant Bangladesh Standards (BDS), project specifications and company quality requirements.

• Take necessary initiatives to minimize rework, material wastage and construction defects.

• Perform any other duties related to quality control as assigned by the management.
