Experience:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Water Resources Engineering, Geography, Environmental Science, or a relevant Diploma in Engineering with extensive field tenure.
Minimum 3 to 4 years of dedicated professional experience in field surveys, GPS based geographic observation, infrastructure inspection, and participatory rural appraisals within water or rural development projects..

Uttaran invites applications for the vacant position titled- Field Verification Officer for the Sustainable River Basin Management Project
Reports to: Head of Programme.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct rigorous technical field verification missions and ground truthing exercises to validate internal GIS maps, remote sensing findings, and technical assessments.
Inspect priority river connections, regulators, sluice gates, channels, peripheral embankments, and physical obstruction points cross catchments.
Verify local reports on drainage congestion, waterlogging severity, river width changes, and community identified problem spots.
Ensure all field observations, structure inspections, and stakeholder interviews are accurately recorded using GPS tools, geotagged photographs, and standardized monitoring templates.
Collaborate closely with local Water Management Organizations (WMOs), Paani Committees, and Project Affected Persons (PAPs) during social audits and baseline data collection.
Assist in tracking the execution of field level interventions, community mobilization activities, and grievance redress mechanism (GRM) verifications.
Submit regular field monitoring reports detailing ground conditions, construction progress, and community feedback to the project management team.
Other Responsibilities
Perform any other duties assigned by the Head of Programme or senior management in support of organizational objectives.
