Responsibilities & Context:

1. Architectural Planning & Design

   • Lead the architectural design and planning of all company projects.

   • Develop and review concept designs, floor plans, elevations, sections and working drawings.

   • Ensure designs meet functional, aesthetic and commercial requirements.

2. Project Design Coordination

   • Coordinate with the GM, Manager- Construction, Structural Engineers, MEP consultants and other departments.

   • Ensure architectural drawings are properly coordinated with structural and MEP drawings.

3. Approval & Regulatory Compliance

   • Ensure architectural designs comply with RAJUK requirements, BNBC, applicable building codes and other regulatory requirements.

   • Coordinate preparation and submission of drawings for necessary approvals.

   • Review approval-related architectural documentation.

4. Design Review & Quality Control

   • Review drawings and design changes before implementation.

   • Monitor architectural quality throughout construction.

   • Ensure the finished work matches the approved design and specifications.

5. Consultant & Contractor Management

   • Coordinate with external architects, consultants and contractors where applicable.

   • Review consultants' drawings, proposals and design submissions.

   • Provide architectural direction and resolve technical/design discrepancies.

6. Project Monitoring

   • Conduct periodic site visits to monitor architectural progress.

   • Identify deviations from approved drawings and recommend corrective action.

   • Provide technical guidance to concerned persons.

7. Cost & Commercial Consideration

   • Ensure designs are practical and cost-effective without compromising required quality.

   • Review design changes that may affect project cost or construction timelines.

   • Support procurement teams in reviewing architectural materials and specifications.

8. Team Leadership

   • Supervise and guide architects, junior architects and architectural draftsmen.

   • Allocate design responsibilities and monitor team performance.

   • Develop standards, templates and design procedures for the company.

9. Management Reporting

   • Report major design, approval and project-related issues to the GM/Management.

   • Provide recommendations on design improvements, project risks and technical matters.

   • Participate in management and project review meetings.

10. Design Development & Innovation

• Introduce modern, functional and commercially viable architectural concepts.

• Keep up to date with new architectural materials, technologies and design trends.

• Contribute to improving the company's overall architectural standards and brand identity.
