Experience:
Relevant experience in Steel Melt Shop / Steel Plant mechanical maintenance, preferably involving EAF, LRF, CCM and material handling systems.
Strong practical knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, rotating and material handling equipment.
Hands-on experience in breakdown troubleshooting, preventive maintenance and equipment reliability improvement.
Ability to lead technicians, fitters and contractors and effectively manage shift-based maintenance activities.
Good knowledge of industrial safety, maintenance practices, RCA, 5S and permit-to-work systems.
Willingness to work in rotational shifts and in a high-temperature heavy-industry environment.

We are seeking experienced Shift In-Charge – Mechanical Maintenance. The incumbents will be responsible for leading shift-based mechanical maintenance activities at the Steel Melt Shop (SMS) of Meghna Re-Rolling & Steel Mills Limited (MRSML).
Job Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise shift-based mechanical maintenance activities by planning, assigning and monitoring maintenance jobs, ensuring smooth and reliable SMS operations.
Maintain EAF, LRF and CCM mechanical equipment through preventive, predictive and breakdown maintenance, ensuring high equipment availability and reliability.
Maintain hydraulic and pneumatic systems through regular inspection, condition monitoring and troubleshooting of failures, ensuring stable equipment performance and reduced breakdowns.
Maintain EOT/gantry cranes and material handling equipment through scheduled inspection, servicing and timely repairs, ensuring safe and reliable material handling.
Maintain FTP, RMHS, scrap handling and material feeding systems through routine inspection and corrective maintenance, ensuring continuous material flow and production support.
Supervise maintenance of shears, compressors and auxiliary mechanical equipment through planned maintenance and prompt corrective actions, ensuring availability of critical supporting equipment.
Attend and resolve mechanical breakdowns by troubleshooting failures and coordinating with Production, Electrical, Automation and Operations teams, minimizing equipment downtime and production loss.
Monitor equipment condition and manage critical spares and consumables through regular inspection, equipment history review and stock monitoring, enabling early failure detection and timely maintenance execution.
Supervise technicians, fitters and contractors and support commissioning, trial runs and stabilization through effective manpower coordination and field-level supervision, ensuring quality maintenance execution and stable equipment operation.
Improve maintenance reliability and workplace standards by conducting RCA, implementing corrective and preventive actions, maintaining shift-wise records and enforcing safety and housekeeping practices, reducing recurring failures and ensuring a safe maintenance environment.
