Responsibilities & Context:

1. Plan, supervise, and manage the company’s own construction and civil engineering projects from start to completion.

2. Prepare and review construction drawings, structural layouts, BOQ, estimates, and project-related technical documents.

3. Supervise construction activities at project sites and ensure work is carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, and schedules.

4. Monitor the quality of construction materials, workmanship, and overall construction standards.

5. Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, architects, engineers, and other project stakeholders.

6. Prepare project cost estimates, material requirements, work schedules, and construction budgets.

7. Monitor project progress, identify delays or technical issues, and take necessary corrective actions.

8. Conduct regular site inspections and ensure compliance with safety standards and company requirements.

9. Verify measurements of completed work and assist in contractor bill checking and certification.

10. Manage procurement requirements for construction materials and ensure materials are purchased according to quality and project specifications.

11. Ensure proper utilization of construction materials, manpower, equipment, and other resources to minimize project costs.

12. Identify construction defects, technical problems, and site-related issues and recommend practical engineering solutions.

13. Maintain daily/weekly project progress reports, site records, measurements, and other necessary documentation.

14. Ensure construction work complies with relevant Bangladesh National Building Code (BNBC), local regulations, and applicable engineering standards.

15. Assist management in planning new construction projects, evaluating project feasibility, and preparing preliminary cost and time estimates.

16. Coordinate with government/local authorities when necessary for construction-related approvals, inspections, and documentation.

17. Ensure all projects are completed within the approved budget, timeline, quality standards, and safety requirements.

18. Perform any other civil engineering and construction-related duties assigned by the management.
