Responsibilities & Context:

• Drafting and Design: Convert rough sketches, concepts, and initial designs into detailed 2D technical drawings and 3D models using CAD/BIM software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Rhino 3D, Sketchup, ArchiCAD).

• Produce and review drawings.

• Code Compliance: Ensure all drawings and blueprints adhere to local, state, and national building codes, zoning ordinances, and structural regulations.

• Detailing: Incorporate precise measurements, structural features, and specific materials (wood, steel, concrete) into the schematics.

• Collaboration: Work closely with architects, structural engineers, and construction managers to review designs for alignments and resolve technical discrepancies. 

• Documentation: Prepare project manuals, bidding documents, material lists, and cost estimates.

• Identify design inconsistencies and propose corrections.

• Revisions & Filing: Maintain organized records of all project files and execute drawing revisions based on feedback or site changes.

• Conduct Site Visits (when necessary): Visit construction sites to take field measurements or assist in evaluating existing structures. 

• Any other task assigned by management from time to time.
