Responsibilities & Context:
The Engineer - Production is responsible for supporting the efficient, safe and quality-compliant operation of the Biaxially Oriented Polypropylene (BOPP) film production line during assigned shifts.
Responsible for the coordination and direction of the implementation and monitoring of the Quality Management System in Production
Select and train new technical staff for the Production Department
Prepare manpower shift schedules to ensure adequate coverage across all production shifts
Coordinate with other departments (Quality Assurance, Maintenance, Stores, Planning, etc.) to facilitate a smooth and uninterrupted production process
Support the organization in achieving cost-effective production to remain competitive in the market
Participate in the implementation of the company's Food Safety Management (FSM) program
Analyze and evaluate machine breakdowns and product quality issues; identify and resolve the root cause
Investigate customer complaints and initiate appropriate corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)
Raise material requisitions from stores and monitor/observe silo filling for the BOPP line
Prepare indents for machine spare parts as per production requirements
Report to the Manager on production performance and issues from the preceding 24 hours
Prepare documentation for raw material issuance
Prepare and maintain all documents related to the BOPP Department
Maintain accurate records of all day-to-day activities related to the department
Perform any other tasks delegated by top management
