Responsibilities & Context:
Develop and implement a risk-based annual Internal Audit Plan aligned with the Group’s strategic objectives and key business risks.
Lead Group-wide internal audits covering financial, operational, commercial, procurement, inventory, sales, distribution, HR, and other critical functions.
Evaluate the effectiveness of internal controls, risk management, governance, and compliance frameworks across all SBUs.
Identify control weaknesses, process gaps, operational inefficiencies, financial irregularities, and potential fraud risks, and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
Review compliance with company policies, SOPs, delegated authorities, applicable laws, regulations, and management directives.
Conduct special audits and investigations relating to suspected fraud, misconduct, financial irregularities, or significant business risks.
Prepare comprehensive Internal Audit Reports highlighting key findings, root causes, risk implications, and actionable recommendations.
Present significant audit findings, risk areas, and recommendations to Senior Management and relevant governance forums.
Monitor and follow up on audit observations to ensure timely and effective implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
Review business processes and recommend improvements in operational efficiency, cost optimization, accountability, and control effectiveness.
Lead, develop, and mentor the Internal Audit team while maintaining the highest standards of independence, objectivity, integrity, confidentiality, and professional ethics.
