Responsibilities & Context:

The Safety Manager for an MNC industrial project, ensuring effective implementation of HSE standards, risk control, legal compliance and a safe working environment throughout project execution.

• Implement and monitor company and client HSE policies, procedures and safety standards.

• Conduct regular site inspections, hazard identification and risk assessments.

• Prepare and review JSA, risk assessments, method statements and Permit-to-Work documents.

• Monitor high-risk activities, including lifting, steel erection, work at height, hot work, electrical work, excavation and confined-space entry.

• Ensure proper use of PPE and maintain suitable housekeeping, barricading, signage and safe access.

• Manage and monitor contractor and subcontractor safety compliance.

• Conduct safety inductions, toolbox meetings and regular HSE training.

• Investigate accidents, incidents and near misses and ensure timely corrective actions.

• Ensure fire safety, emergency preparedness and periodic emergency drills.

• Conduct safety audits and maintain accurate HSE records and reports.

• Monitor compliance with client requirements and applicable laws and regulations.

• Stop any unsafe work that presents an immediate risk to personnel, property or the environment.
