We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Assistant Manager – Payroll to manage and supervise payroll operations at our RMG factory. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing, attendance and overtime verification, payroll reconciliation, employee data management, and effective use of HRIS and ERP systems.
Manage and ensure timely processing of monthly payroll for factory workers, staff and employees.
Verify attendance, leave, overtime, late/absence, incentives, allowances and other payroll inputs.
Calculate wages/salaries, overtime, deductions, benefits and other payroll components accurately.
Process payroll through HRIS and ERP software and maintain accurate employee master data.
Coordinate with HR, Time Office, Finance, Production and other relevant departments for payroll inputs and reconciliation.
Prepare salary sheets, bank payment files, payroll reports and management MIS.
Handle employee payroll-related queries and resolve salary, attendance and overtime discrepancies.
Process employee final settlement, salary adjustments, increments, promotions and other payroll changes.
Maintain confidentiality and security of payroll and employee information.
Ensure payroll practices comply with Bangladesh Labour Law, company policies and applicable statutory requirements.
Support payroll audits and provide required documents and reports.
Identify opportunities to improve payroll processes, controls and system efficiency.
Supervise and guide payroll team members as required.
Bachelor’s degree in HRM, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a relevant discipline.
Professional certification in HR, Payroll or Accounting will be an added advantage.
5–8 years of relevant experience in payroll, preferably in the RMG / Garments / Manufacturing industry.
Candidates with hands-on experience in factory payroll and large-volume employee processing will be preferred.
Strong practical knowledge of payroll processing and wage/salary calculation.
Hands-on experience with HRIS and ERP software.
Good knowledge of MS Excel, including formulas, data analysis and reconciliation.
Knowledge of attendance, leave and overtime management.
Good understanding of Bangladesh Labour Law and payroll-related statutory requirements.
Strong numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under strict payroll deadlines.
High level of integrity and confidentiality.
Good communication, coordination and team-management skills.
