Job Context

Global Technology is looking for a dynamic, technically competent and service-oriented professional for the position of Assistant Manager – Engineering. The successful candidate will be responsible for installation, commissioning, calibration, troubleshooting, maintenance and after-sales technical support of laboratory instruments and related equipment.

The candidate should have strong technical knowledge, good communication skills in both Bangla and English, a positive attitude, customer-handling ability and a willingness to travel throughout Bangladesh for project implementation and service activities.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, test, commission, calibrate and maintain laboratory instruments and equipment at customer sites.

• Perform installation, testing, commissioning and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment such as: Laboratory Oven, Incubator, Biological Safety Cabinet (BSC), Laminar Flow Cabinet, Fume Hood, PCR / RT-PCR, Centrifuge, Autoclave, Gel Documentation System, Spectrophotometer, Microscope, And other laboratory and scientific instruments.

• Conduct equipment performance verification, adjustment, calibration and functional testing after installation.

• Diagnose technical problems and carry out troubleshooting, repair and corrective maintenance.

• Execute preventive maintenance schedules and ensure equipment remains in safe and operational condition.

• Work closely with senior/experienced field engineers on complex troubleshooting, repair and maintenance activities.

• Provide user training and operational guidance to clients after installation and commissioning.

• Maintain proper service reports, installation reports, commissioning reports and other technical documentation.

• Communicate professionally with clients to understand technical issues, provide solutions and ensure timely follow-up.

• Handle customer complaints professionally and ensure effective resolution to achieve high customer satisfaction.

• Coordinate with the Engineering, Sales, Commercial and Management teams for smooth execution of projects and service activities.

• Maintain and organize spare parts, tools, service equipment and technical accessories.

• Monitor spare parts requirements and support proper inventory management.

• Perform repair and maintenance of machinery/equipment supplied by the company.

• Ensure all installation, maintenance and repair activities are performed following appropriate safety procedures.

• Support the company in achieving service, project implementation and business targets.

• Be willing to travel throughout Bangladesh for installation, commissioning, inspection, training and after-sales service.

• Perform any other engineering and technical responsibilities assigned by the management.
