Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Analyze and determine fabric consumption for different designs and styles.
∎ Develop and maintain accurate fabric costing models.Optimize fabric usage to reduce waste and lower costs.
∎ Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of CAD software and hardware specific to garment design, such as Lectra & Gerber.
∎ Ensure that CAD deliverables and fabric cost estimates meet project timelines and quality standards.
∎ Review and approve final designs and patterns before they are sent to production.
∎ Conduct regular audits of design outputs to ensure compliance with established standards and client specifications.
∎ Resolve any technical issues related to CAD systems.
∎ Organize training sessions and workshops to keep the team updated on new CAD tools, technologies.
∎ Conduct performance evaluations and provide professional development opportunities for team members.
∎ Provide detailed fabric cost and consumption reports to support pricing and budgeting decisions.
