Experience:
Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, quantity surveying, cost estimation, and rate analysis.
Sound understanding of construction methods, interior fit-out processes, furniture works, finishing materials, and workmanship standards.
Strong knowledge of Bangladesh construction and interior material market rates.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, and MS Office applications. Advanced Excel skills for costing, comparison sheets, rate analysis, budgeting, and reporting will be an advantage.
Good understanding of tender documentation, project budgeting, procurement processes, and commercial documentation.
Ability to accurately interpret architectural, structural, interior, and MEP drawings.
Strong numerical, analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills.Excellent organizational and documentation skills with strong attention to detail.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to coordinate effectively with internal departments, suppliers, subcontractors, and project teams.
Ability to manage multiple assignments, work under pressure, and meet project deadlines.Candidates should be proactive, responsible, commercially aware, and capable of working independently when required.
Prepare detailed Bills of Quantities (BOQ) based on architectural, structural, interior, and MEP drawings.
Perform accurate quantity take-offs for materials, works, and project components.
Prepare detailed cost estimates, project budgets, and rate analyses for interior fit-out, furniture, and construction projects.
Prepare tender BOQs, technical specifications, bidding documents, and supporting cost documentation.
Review drawings, specifications, and project requirements to identify the complete scope of work.
Obtain and evaluate quotations from suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors.
Prepare comparative statements and support management in vendor and subcontractor selection.
Analyse project costs and recommend practical value engineering and cost-saving opportunities without compromising required quality.
Coordinate closely with the Design, Procurement, Project Management, Accounts, and Site teams regarding project costing and commercial requirements.
Prepare and maintain Variation Orders (VO), Work Orders, revised BOQs, and project cost reports.
Monitor project expenditures, material consumption, and cost variations against approved budgets.
Maintain and regularly update the database of material prices, labour rates, subcontractor rates, and market rates.
Assist management with project costing, budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
Review subcontractor and supplier bills against approved BOQs, work orders, and actual quantities where required.
Ensure all BOQs, estimates, and commercial documents comply with project specifications, drawings, and company standards.
Maintain proper documentation and records related to project costing, tendering, procurement, and commercial activities.
