Responsibilities & Context:

  • Together with senior management support/ Drive the formulation of new policies and procedures for Intimates Cluster and review available policies and procedures in a timely manner to incorporate both customer and local government updates.

  • Take lead in ensuring timely completion of Internal and External Customer audits across all SBU’s (Foreign and local – 16 plants – (SLCP/DCAT).

  • Be proactive and support Customer Expansion Strategies to onboard new Customers to Intimates portfolio/ Expansion of Current Businesses i.e. New Continents – East Africa/ New Customers i.e. Nike to support the business achieve set objectives within the stipulated timeframe.

  • Ensure the team clearly translates and shares the need/ issue/ requirement to the rest of the team and collaborates with cross functional teams and heads to identify the best suited solutions to cater to customer and business mindset.

  • Be proactive and challenge the status quo whilst being up to date with global and local best practices and trends in order to offer elevate solutions that support the achievement of customer and business requirements .

  • Be able to work independently in the assigned manufacturing facility/ facilities whilst demonstrating the ability to represent oneself and the team at relevant meetings in order to ensure “the best solutions” are identified to meet customer/ business objectives .

  • Together with management, guide and develop talent within the team by using appropriate tools and processes to support the identification and development of skills and capabilities in order to ensure a steady pipeline of versatile bench strength is developed to meet organization goals.

  • Frequently engage in knowledge sharing sessions to 1. Develop the bench strength and talent within the internal team 2. Increase compliance, health & safety and risk management acumen across the division.

  • Possess extensive compliance, business and customer acumen and play a lead role in ensuring adherence to set standards/ protocols when liaising with internal/ external teams .

  • Monitor and sustain Compliance standards of all Tier 2 Suppliers (Embellishment/ Printing) in a timely manner and upon requirement of business teams .

  • Monitoring and ensuring the sustenance of Self Governance Audit Mechanisms entrusted by Customer in a timely, accurate and efficient manner .

  • Formulate strategies on the rollout of Hoshin KPI’s/ Social Sustainability KPI’s/ COSMA .

  • Oversee and monitor compliance standards of all on-site service providers (cleaning, catering, nursing, gardening, manpower agencies (where applicable) across all SBU’s .

  • Drive data uploading completeness on all related platforms (SS Tool/ Group Risk Assessment) in an accurate manner to meet customer and business requirements .

  • Support leadership in formulating Cluster Specific Budgets and regularly monitor these to ensure achievement of the compliance budget and overall business objectives .
