• Knowledge on Lean Manufacturing tools

• Proactively research and be up to date on the latest technological advancements in relevant fields, in order to conduct continuous improvements to simplify existing processes/functions and periodically upgrade the plant body of knowledge in terms of technology and trends.

• Connect with respective individuals in the Value Stream to support Digitization/Autonomation processes and initiatives to enhance productivity.

• Collaborate with the PPA Champion to ensure optimum utilization of machine related resources at every gate within PPA to achieve required changeovers efficiencies.

• Connect with the Training School Industrial Engineering Executive, introduce & implement possible new innovations at Training School while conducting regular awareness training programs of machines for team members to upskill their knowledge and encourage continuous improvement.

• Maintain and upgrade the Skill Matrix of Mechanics by identifying skill gaps and monitoring their training and development process in order to have a strong pool of Mechanics.

• Ensure all sewing/non-sewing machinery align with all Health, Safety and Compliance guidelines to maintain zero accidents.

• Conduct awareness programs and ensure adherence to energy saving initiatives in their respective areas to conserve energy and reduce waste at the business unit.

• Conduct regular meetings with internal teams to discuss machine related issues and facilitate fact-based real-time problem solving to ensure smooth functioning of production.

• Drive the planned maintenance process such as preparing total productive maintenance schedule to ensure all machines are serviced in a timely & comprehensive manner at regular intervals and maintaining records for further analysis.

• Prepare & monitor the budget for all sewing machine related spare parts and new machinery (including zero sewing machine rent cost) on an annual basis and forecast the requirements for the following year to optimize spare part inventory.

• Align with projects relating to MOS (MAS Operating System), layout planning, refurbishment and other relevant projects to achieve the required phase.

• Conduct inspection and calibration of special machines to maintain the standard working condition of machines.

• Ensure compliance with the defined governance framework including upholding the MAS DNA, following, group/company polices & procedures*, best practices (where the group/company policies and procedures are not defined), relevant laws & regulations and undertake every necessary action to comply with the governance framework.
