Skills Required:

Additional Requirements:
  • Age 24 to 40 years
  • Bachelor’s degree in Textile Engineering / Apparel Manufacturing / Industrial Production Engineering / relevant discipline

  • Certification in Apparel Production, Garment Finishing, or Industrial Engineering (preferred)

  • Training on Lean Manufacturing, 5S, or Kaizen will be an added advantage

  • Certification or training on C-TPAT / Supply Chain Security preferred

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in RMG finishing operations, 3 years in RMG finishing managerial position

  • Experience in knit finishing and C-TPAT/security compliance preferred

  • Proven leadership experience managing large finishing teams

  • Strong technical knowledge of finishing, packing, ironing, and final inspection processes

  • Good understanding of production planning and shipment coordination

  • Knowledge of C-TPAT standards and cargo/packing security protocols

  • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to manage high-pressure operational environments

  • Proficiency in MS Excel, reporting, and documentation



Responsibilities & Context:
  • Finishing Operations Management:

    • Oversee daily finishing operations including thread trimming, ironing/pressing, tagging, assortment, packing, and finishing quality.

    • Ensure production targets are achieved as per buyer quality standards and shipment timelines.

    • Plan and allocate manpower for smooth finishing floor operations.

    • Maintain coordination among production, sewing, quality, IE, store, and finishing teams.

    • Monitor WIP, input–output flow, and ensure accurate daily reporting.

  • Quality Assurance & Process Improvement:

    • Ensure required quality standards are maintained throughout finishing, packing, and final inspection stages.

    • Identify defects, implement corrective actions, and reduce quality rework and rejection.

    • Support process optimization activities and assist IE/QA in root cause analysis.

  • Shipment Readiness & Time Management:

    • Ensure on-time finishing, packing, and shipment preparation according to the plan.

    • Monitor packing accuracy, size-color ratio, carton quality, and sealing.

    • Maintain close coordination with planning and logistics for timely dispatch.

  • Team Leadership & Supervision:

    • Lead finishing supervisors, line leaders, and workers to drive operational efficiency.

    • Conduct daily briefings and assign responsibilities to ensure effective workflow.

    • Provide coaching, performance monitoring, and support skill development of finishing teams.

  • C-TPAT & Security Compliance (Integrated Responsibilities):

    • Ensure compliance with C-TPAT standards within finishing, packing, and shipment areas.

    • Monitor finishing floor access controls, security gates, and visitor protocols.

    • Ensure accurate sealing of cartons, seal log maintenance, and proper cargo handling.

    • Implement security SOPs for product protection, inventory movement, and packaging security.

    • Conduct periodic security risk checks and coordinate with Compliance/Security teams.

  • Reporting & Documentation:

    • Maintain daily finishing production reports, WIP reports, packing lists, and shipment readiness status.

    • Ensure accurate documentation for audits, buyer visits, and internal review.

    • Update finishing KPI dashboards, operational trackers, and security logs.

  • Health, Safety & 5S Compliance:

    • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and 5S implementation across finishing units.

    • Ensure workers follow safety guidelines, PPE use, and machine/equipment safety rules.

    • Report and mitigate hazards, safety risks, or near-miss incidents.
