  • B.Sc. in Textile Engineering / Industrial & Production Engineering (IPE) / Apparel Manufacturing

Additional Requirements:

  • Strong expertise in garment construction, SMV, costing & IE tools

  • Proven leadership in large-scale factory operations

  • In-depth knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and automation

  • Excellent analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving skills

  • Strong communication skills (buyer handling capability is a plus)



Responsibilities & Context:

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership

  • Provide strategic direction for all technical functions (IE, Production, QA, Maintenance, Design & Development)

  • Lead product feasibility analysis, costing accuracy, and technical risk assessment

  • Drive innovation in garment construction, machinery utilization, and process flow

Production & Efficiency

  • Ensure maximum factory efficiency through line balancing, SMV control, and capacity planning

  • Monitor KPIs: efficiency %, DHU, OTD (On-Time Delivery), rejection rate

  • Implement Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and continuous improvement culture

Industrial Engineering (IE) Oversight

  • Supervise work study, method improvement, and productivity benchmarking

  • Ensure accurate SMV library and operation breakdown

  • Optimize manpower, layout, and workflow

Quality Assurance & Compliance

  • Establish strong quality systems to meet buyer standards

  • Reduce defects (DHU) and ensure Right First Time (RFT) production

  • Ensure compliance with buyer requirements and international standards

Product Development & Pre-Production

  • Lead sample development, tech pack review, and PP meetings

  • Ensure smooth handover from development to bulk production

  • Troubleshoot technical issues during sampling and bulk stages

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Collaborate with Merchandising, Planning, and Supply Chain teams

  • Lead and mentor large technical teams (IE, QA, Production Managers)

Liaise with buyers on technical matters when required
