Educational Qualifications

• Diploma in Engineering with strong relevant experience may also be considered.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 6–10 years of experience in workshop/maintenance functions within the Garments/Textile Industry.

• Proven experience in handling industrial workshop operations (fabrication, machining, repair works).

• Prior experience in a supervisory or in-charge role will be highly preferred.

• Oversee daily operations of the central workshop, including fabrication, welding, machining, and equipment repair.

• Provide technical support to maintenance teams for breakdown and preventive maintenance activities.

• Ensure timely repair and refurbishment of machine parts, tools, and components.

• Supervise workshop staff (fitters, welders, machinists, technicians) and ensure optimal workforce utilization.

• Maintain and manage workshop tools, equipment, and machinery in proper working condition.

• Coordinate with Maintenance and Production teams to ensure minimal machine downtime.

• Implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for workshop operations.

• Monitor material usage and control wastage to ensure cost efficiency.

• Maintain proper documentation of job orders, repair logs, and inventory records.

• Ensure compliance with workplace safety standards and proper use of PPE in workshop activities.

• Assist in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance workshop productivity and efficiency.
