Responsibilities & Context:
Lead and manage end-to-end denim washing operations, including sample development and bulk production.
Ensure achievement of daily production plans, shipment schedules, and operational KPIs.
Optimize machine utilization, manpower allocation, and process efficiency.
Monitor production flow to minimize bottlenecks and downtime.
Oversee development of wash recipes and processes to achieve buyer-approved aesthetics and performance requirements.
Ensure consistency in shade, hand feel, appearance, and garment performance across production.
Ensure proper use of chemicals, dyes, enzymes, pigments, softeners, and specialty finishes.
Standardize wash recipes and process parameters for consistency and efficiency.
Ensure all washed garments comply with buyer specifications and internal quality standards.
Support implementation of water-saving technologies, ozone, laser, e-flow, and other sustainable wash processes where applicable.
Coordinate preventive and predictive maintenance of washing, drying, and finishing equipment.
Lead, mentor, and develop wash managers, executives, supervisors, technicians, chemists, and operators.
Maintain workplace health and safety standards, particularly regarding chemical handling and machine operations.
Work closely with Merchandising, Product Development, Production, Industrial Engineering, Quality, Maintenance, Planning, Procurement, and Logistics teams.
Participate in production planning meetings to ensure shipment commitments are achieved.
