Job Summary:

The Finishing Manager is responsible for overseeing all finishing operations of woven garments, ensuring products meet buyer quality standards and shipment schedules. The role involves managing finishing processes, optimizing productivity, minimizing defects, and leading the finishing team to achieve operational excellence.

Job Description / Responsibility:

• Plan, organize, and supervise all finishing activities, including thread trimming, stain removal, ironing, pressing, measurement checking, folding, tagging, poly packing, carton packing, and final inspection.

• Ensure garments meet buyer specifications, quality standards, and shipment requirements before dispatch.

• Coordinate with Production, Quality Assurance, Merchandising, Planning, and Commercial teams to achieve on-time shipment.

• Monitor daily production targets and ensure optimum utilization of manpower and resources.

• Analyze finishing defects, identify root causes, and implement corrective and preventive actions.

• Maintain high productivity while minimizing rework, rejection, and wastage.

• Ensure proper operation and maintenance of finishing equipment such as steam irons, pressing machines, metal detectors, needle detectors, and packing equipment.

• Monitor packing accuracy, carton assortments, labeling, barcoding, and shipment documentation.

• Implement Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Kaizen, and continuous improvement initiatives within the finishing department.

• Ensure compliance with buyer requirements, factory SOPs, and social, safety, and quality compliance standards.

• Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production and shipment reports for management.

• Train, mentor, and evaluate supervisors and finishing operators to improve performance.

Educational Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in related field.

Experience:

• 10–12+ years of experience in garment finishing operations.

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a managerial role within a woven garments factory.

• Strong experience handling export-oriented woven garments for international buyers.

Additional Requirements:

• Age 30 to 45 years.

• Only Male.

• Strong understanding of buyer quality standards, AQL, packing requirements, and export shipment procedures.

• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight shipment deadlines.

• Strong leadership, analytical thinking, and a results-oriented approach.
