Job Context

The Fabric Sourcing Executive will be accountable for developing and maintaining ZXY’s global fabric libraries across Bangladesh, Turkey, and China, supporting seasonal inspiration, product development, and bulk production requirements across Knit & Woven categories. The incumbent will actively source and evaluate fabrics, build supplier and fabric resources, and maintain accurate fabric information within the central ERP database to ensure accessible and effective fabric solutions for Design, Product Development, and Business Units globally.

Job Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the global central fabric library with commercially viable and relevant fabrics across Knit & Woven categories, aligned with seasonal and business requirements.

• Research and identify fabric trends, new developments, constructions, finishes, and sustainable fabrications through mill appointments, fabric shows, suppliers, and market research.

• Source and evaluate fabrics based on quality, cost, lead time, availability, newness, sustainability, and bulk production feasibility.

• Support Business Units, Design, and Product Development teams by identifying suitable fabrics and providing relevant alternatives based on product and customer requirements.

• Build and maintain a strong network of fabric mills and suppliers and coordinate with them to develop new fabric qualities and sourcing opportunities.

• Maintain the fabric library systematically by brand, season, category, construction, and fabric type, ensuring samples are properly indexed and easily accessible.

• Manage the receipt, identification, categorization, indexing, and archiving new fabrics and ensure the library remains current and commercially relevant.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date fabric information, specifications, supplier details, and fabric qualities in the ERP system

• Coordinate with Design and Product Development teams on fabric testing, quality, and development issues, and work with Merchandising teams to resolve fabric-related bulk production concerns.

• Coordinate fabric and supplier appointments, follow up on sourcing activities, and ensure timely availability of fabric resources for seasonal development.

• Support the visual merchandising and seasonal presentation of the fabric library in line with brand handwriting and seasonal themes.

• Maintain the fabric archive and reference library and continuously identify opportunities to improve the fabric sourcing process, library, and central fabric database.
