OVS is looking for a MERCHANDISER, OUTERWEAR:

Our fast-growing retail organization is expanding our business in Europe and beyond. For our Bangladesh liaison office, we are looking for professional candidates to fill the following position:

MERCHANDISER, OUTERWEAR:

Our merchandisers control the entire process from sourcing to shipping, including development and quotations, as well as managing the approval process and ensuring the shipments go out on time. For this key position we need experienced, presentable and highly motivated candidates that can work independently with their assigned department, functioning as a true extension of our Italian buying team.

Job Requirement & Responsibilities:

• Manage the complete merchandising process for Outerwear orders from product development and order placement through to final shipment.

• Take full ownership of the orders, ensuring all orders are executed according to agreed T&A, quality, cost, and delivery requirements.

• Review and interpret buyer tech packs, original sample analysis, specifications, BOM, comments, and ensure all requirements are accurately communicated to Technical Teams, suppliers, and factories.

• Lead product development, costing, quotations, consumption calculations, and price negotiations in coordination with suppliers and factories.

• Manage the sourcing and timely follow-up of fabrics, yarns, fabric finishing, Padding, trims, embellishments, accessories, and other materials required for Outerwear development and production.

• Coordinate and closely monitor proto, fit, size-set, pre-production, and production sample development and approvals.

• Work closely with Technical, Quality, Production, and Supplier Teams to ensure products meet the required technical, commercial, quality, and workmanship standards.

• Maintain effective communication with overseas Product Managers/buyers, providing timely and accurate updates on development, order status, risks, and corrective actions.

• Prepare, monitor, and update T&A plans, proactively identifying potential delays and ensuring timely resolution.

• Closely monitor production progress, quality status, and shipment readiness to ensure on-time delivery.

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date order status, costing, approval, production, and shipment records for management review.

• Ensure timely follow-up of sustainability, compliance, and product documentation, including applicable certificates, credits, and transaction documentation.

• Ensure effective use of PLM, ERP/cloud-based merchandising systems, Power BI, MS Excel, and other relevant tools for order management and reporting.

• Conduct vendor/factory visits when required to support product development, production follow-up, quality improvement, and on-time shipment.

• Identify commercial, technical, quality, and delivery risks at an early stage and take proactive corrective action in coordination with relevant stakeholders.

• Cost Preparation- Calculation comprehensive consumption sheet, for Shell, Lining, Padding and Trims, understand SMV basis cost analysis, efficiency as well as CPM calculations
