. B.Sc. or Diploma in Electrical & Electronic Engineering (EEE), Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
. Must have completed the 06 (Six) Months Fire Safety / Life Safety Course from Fire Service & Civil Defence (FSCD).
.Relevant professional certifications in Industrial Fire Safety will be an added advantage.
1. Engineering, Design & Technical Management
Prepare, review, modify, and update Fire Safety Design Drawings independently as per project and compliance requirements using AutoCAD.
Develop and maintain fire protection system layouts, including Fire Alarm, Hydrant, Sprinkler, Fire Pump, Emergency Exit, Evacuation, Fire Door, Emergency Lighting, and other life safety systems.
Prepare detailed fire safety technical specifications, calculations, Bill of Quantities (BOQ), and engineering documentation.
Conduct regular technical inspections, functional testing, and maintenance of all fire safety equipment (extinguishers, hydrants, pumps, detection, and alarm systems) to ensure 100% operational readiness.
2. Compliance, Regulatory & Audit Management
Ensure strict adherence of all fire safety designs and operations to BNBC, NFPA, RSC, Nirapon, Fire Service & Civil Defence (FSCD) regulations, Bangladesh Labor Act 2006, and EPZ Labor Act 2019.
Coordinate and maintain documentation for the Nirapon 90 Days Safety Management program and manage updates to Corrective Action Plans (CAP).
Liaise directly with local fire departments, FSCD, RSC, Nirapon, external consultants, buyers, and regulatory authorities for inspections, certifications, and approvals.
Represent factory management and provide full technical support during fire, electrical, structural, and social compliance audits.
3. Risk Assessment, Audits & Emergency Preparedness
Conduct routine fire risk assessments, safety audits, and physical walkthroughs across the entire facility to identify fire hazards and safety violations.
Recommend and enforce immediate corrective and preventive actions for any identified risks.
Organize, lead, and document regular fire drills, emergency evacuation plans, and emergency response activities for all factory personnel.
Monitor and strictly enforce the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in high-risk operational areas.
Ensure all emergency exits, stairwells, and evacuation routes are properly signed, illuminated, and kept 100% unobstructed at all times.
4. Training, Reporting & Administration
Design and deliver comprehensive fire safety, emergency response, and hazard awareness training programs for employees and fire squad teams.
Prepare and maintain all inspection reports, logs, risk assessment records, CAP updates, and official compliance documentation.
Maintain incident logs, investigate safety occurrences, and present detailed fire safety reports to senior management.
