Experience:
B.Sc./M.Sc. in Textile Engineering or Graduate/Post Graduate in Marketing from a reputed, top-tier university.
A strong and polished educational background is highly preferred.
· Formulate and execute aggressive annual marketing strategies to expand the buyer portfolio, specifically targeting international sports brands and performance-wear retailers.
· Lead high-stakes commercial negotiations for seasonal framework agreements, ensuring long-term capacity booking and favorable payment terms.
· Spearhead the development of cutting-edge Activewear solutions, focusing on moisture-wicking fabrics, compression yarns, 4-way mechanical stretch, and eco-friendly recycled polyester/nylon blends.
· Drive the "Speed-to-Market" strategy by reducing sampling lead times and introducing innovative trims (reflective tapes, anti-microbial finishes, bonding technologies) to buyers proactively.
· Oversee the entire merchandising lifecycle, ensuring stringent adherence to the Critical Path from fabric yarn sourcing to final shipment. Guarantee 100% On-Time Delivery (OTD) by eliminating production bottlenecks across cutting, and sewing floors.
· Lead the final approval of FOB cost sheets, integrating mid complex to complex variables such as raw material price volatility (Polyester/Nylon), exchange rate fluctuations (USD/BDT), and air freight contingencies to safeguard a minimum gross margin of 3%.
· Implement cost-engineering initiatives to optimize production costs without compromising the performance integrity of the activewear.
· Strategically plan the procurement of performance-based raw materials. Liaise with international textile suppliers to secure competitive pricing and consistent quality for high-tenacity yarns.
· Act as the primary decision-maker in resolving major production discrepancies (e.g., shading, shrinkage, or pilling issues). Collaborate with the QA/QC Head to enforce AQL 2.5 standards.
· Lead, mentor, and appraise a team of Senior Merchandisers and Merchandisers. Conduct weekly KPI reviews and foster a high-performance culture focused on commercial awareness and operational excellence.
· Utilize ERP and advanced Excel dashboards to prepare monthly MIS reports for the Board of Directors, analyzing order booking status, factory utilization rates, and cost variance analysis.
