Responsibilities & Context:

A. Bulk Recipe & Process Control

• Ensure strict implementation of approved bulk wash recipes and process parameters.

• Monitor chemical dosage, temperature, time, pH, liquor ratio, machine settings and other critical parameters.

• Ensure bulk production is carried out according to approved wash standards and specifications.

• Verify recipe accuracy before starting bulk production.

• Monitor consistency of washing processes from batch to batch.

• Ensure proper recording and traceability of bulk recipes and process parameters.

• Identify process deviations and take immediate corrective action.

B. Bulk Wash Quality Control

• Monitor bulk washing quality including shade, hand feel, appearance, softness, abrasion and dimensional stability.

• Ensure consistency of shade and wash effect throughout bulk production.

• Identify technical defects such as off-shade, uneven wash, back staining, crease marks, chemical stains, over-washing and under-washing.

• Coordinate with QC to identify and resolve quality issues at the earliest stage.

• Ensure corrective action is taken before defective production is continued.

C. Technical Troubleshooting

• Provide immediate technical solutions for bulk washing problems.

• Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for recurring technical and quality issues.

• Implement corrective and preventive actions to eliminate recurring defects.

• Analyze machine, chemical, recipe, process and operator-related causes of defects.

• Support production teams in resolving complex washing problems.

• Maintain records of major technical problems and corrective actions.

D. Rewash, Rework & Rejection Reduction

• Monitor daily rewash, rework, alteration and rejection.

• Analyze the reasons behind rewash and rejection.

• Take preventive action to minimize repeated defects.

• Develop action plans for high-frequency or high-cost defects.

• Monitor the effectiveness of corrective actions.

E. Production Coordination

• Coordinate closely with Washing Production, QC, Planning, Finishing and other relevant departments.

• Ensure technical readiness before starting each bulk production batch.

• Provide technical instructions to production teams regarding recipes and process parameters.

• Support Production in achieving daily production targets without compromising quality.

• Coordinate batch priorities and technical requirements with the Production team.

F. Chemical & Cost Control

• Monitor chemical consumption against approved standards and recipes.

• Ensure accurate chemical dosing and prevent unnecessary chemical wastage.

• Identify opportunities to reduce chemical, water, energy and processing costs.

• Monitor cost impact of rewash, rework and rejection.

• Support management in achieving the targeted washing cost per garment.

• Ensure cost reduction initiatives do not compromise approved quality standards.

G. Productivity & Process Efficiency

• Monitor washing machine utilization and process efficiency.

• Identify bottlenecks in bulk washing operations.

• Reduce unnecessary processing time and machine downtime through technical improvement.

• Improve Right First Time (RFT) performance.

• Support continuous improvement initiatives to increase productivity.

• Ensure efficient utilization of manpower, machines, chemicals and other resources.

H. SOP & Process Compliance

• Develop, implement and maintain technical SOPs for bulk washing operations.

• Ensure operators and technical personnel follow approved process parameters.

• Conduct regular process audits to identify deviations.

• Ensure proper documentation of recipes, batch parameters, test results and corrective actions.

• Maintain technical records for traceability and management review.

I. Team Management & Development

• Lead and supervise the Bulk Wash Technical Team.

• Allocate technical responsibilities according to production requirements.

• Train team members on recipe implementation, process control and technical troubleshooting.

• Conduct regular coaching and on-the-job technical training.

• Evaluate team performance and identify development needs.

• Build a technically competent and accountable team.
