To prepare accurate, competitive, and commercially viable wash cost estimates for development samples and bulk garment production at the washing factory. The role is responsible for analyzing wash recipes, chemical consumption, utility usage, processing costs, labor, and overheads to ensure effective cost control and profitability. The incumbent will work closely with Wash Development, Merchandising, Production, Procurement, and Finance teams to maintain costing accuracy, monitor cost variances, and support timely business decisions in line with buyer specifications and company policies.
Prepare accurate wash costing for development samples, proto samples, and bulk production based on buyer requirements, garment specifications, and approved wash processes.
Analyze wash recipes, chemical consumption, water, electricity, gas, steam, labor, machine usage, and other processing costs to prepare detailed cost sheets.
Collect and verify wash process information, consumption data, chemical prices, and production inputs from Wash Development, Production, Procurement, and other relevant departments.
Review wash recipes and processing methods to identify cost-effective alternatives without compromising buyer requirements, garment quality, color, hand feel, or approved wash standards.
Prepare comparative costing for different wash techniques, recipes, and processing methods to support product development and commercial decisions.
Monitor changes in chemical prices, utility rates, labor costs, and other processing expenses and update the costing database accordingly.
Conduct regular comparisons between estimated and actual wash costs, identify significant variances, and report findings with recommendations to the Manager – Costing (Wash).
Coordinate with Merchandising to provide timely wash costing information for price quotations, order negotiations, sample development, and bulk production.
Maintain accurate and updated wash costing sheets, chemical consumption records, costing databases, approved rates, and supporting documents.
Assist in developing and maintaining standardized costing formats, calculation methods, process-wise cost sheets, and wash costing SOPs.
Prepare periodic reports on wash costs, chemical consumption, cost variances, cost-saving opportunities, and other relevant management information.
Ensure compliance with approved costing procedures, financial controls, buyer specifications, chemical handling requirements, and applicable environmental and factory compliance standards.
