• 2-3 years’ Merchandising experience in a reputed buying office or factory in both Knit & Woven category

• Must have experience of fabrics, product development, accessories, costing etc.

• Must have skills in examining and establishing proper merchandising operations and procedures

• Should have ideas about effective communication for raw materials, booking and delivery

• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to interact and build relationships work as a team

• Strong presentation and delivery skills

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, aiming for perfection

• Excellent written and verbal communication both in Bangla and English

• Proficient in MS Office package (Especially PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook)

• Should be proactive and dynamic, ability to work hard efficiently

• Ability to remain organized, meet deadlines

Job Context

The Junior Merchandiser will be accountable for working closely with the team and ensuring effective follow up from product development and sampling stage till shipment ensuring seamless execution of daily tasks and timely dispatch in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

Job Responsibilities

• Source trims and accessories as per tech pack requirements through ZXY listed suppliers

• Reach out to the customers to clarify any unclear specifications, measurements, materials, or construction details in tech pack

• Allocate appropriate factories for sample development based on capability and timelines

• Submit development samples to customers within agreed timelines

• Receive and communicate customer feedback/comments to factories and ensure required corrections are implemented

• Receive Purchase Orders (PO) from customers and update required details before sharing with factories

• Support the Risk Analysis process by preparing and maintaining required documentation and submitting it to the Quality Manager while coordinating with Quality, Technical, Fabric, and Laboratory teams

• Coordinate with ZXY Laboratory for lab dip approvals and submit lab dips to customers via courier

• Initiate fabric and trims bookings through the concerned factory & submit trims to buyer for approval

• Create Sales Contracts, Differential Sheets, and Proforma Invoices (PI) in ZinfoTrek against each PO

• Update PO-wise workflow milestones (fabric in-house date, approvals, inline start, etc.) in ZinfoTrek and customer portals

• Initiate Pre-Production (PP) samples within timeline

• Initiate and follow up on Size Set sample development with factories

• Liaise with technical team and factory QC to ensure Size Set samples meet quality and technical standards within lead time

• Track customer approvals/comments on PP/Size Set samples and ensure timely action

• Liaise with laboratory for physical testing and approvals

• Follow up bulk production closely with factory teams and ZXY QC to ensure adherence to T&A timelines

• Visit factories as required to support production follow-up

• Ensure Top/Shipment samples are received from factories within the required timeline and dispatched to the customer for approval
