Frequent travel to CTG and other relevant ports as and when require.
Pre-Import Activities:
· Collect materials requisition from concerned projects/amusement parks/factories and justify the requirements duly.
· Collecting products catalogs and/or samples (as and when necessary) from abroad. Obtain Management approval for import activities by following the proper procedure.
· Collect Proforma Invoice in accordance with the import policy of the country to ensure compliance.
· Prepare Import Job Card and place to Managing Director for approval to ensure compliance.
· Supplier Communication and Selection
· Communicate with suppliers and negotiate price through e-mail,
· Place orders to competitive suppliers/exporters.
· Meet suppliers during their visit in project or Head office to maintain sustainable supplier relationship.
L/C Related Action:
· Develop L/C schedule planning to keep on track.
· Select the bank for L/C opening based on competitive commission and charges of different banks with L/C credit limit position to receive the most reliable and efficient service.
· Import Activities
· Monitor status of shipments to ensure everything is on due course.
· Handle of relevant logistics activities related to import to ensure smooth process.
· Coordinate with Customs, Port Authority, C&F Agents, Banks, Insurance, Freight Forwarders, Shipping Agents, Local Transport Agents, Inspection Companies and others to ensure smooth import.
· Check and finalize demand submission of C & F Agent for Duties, Taxes, Port Charges, Agent Charges and other payments.
· Finalize all C & F Agents Bill, Insurance Premium Bill and maintain record of L/C files and costing.
· Expediting/routine follow up on status of goods to ensure that suppliers meet delivery promises
· Ensure delivery of the goods to concerned projects/factories/amusement parks.
Compliance Issues:
· Ensure full compliance with govt. regulatory bodies, company commercial procedures and corporate governance requirements to avoid any unwanted circumstances.
· Supervise the record keeping of IRC and their annual renewal, Import VAT Certificates of different companies of Concord Group to ensure proper documentation.
· Keeping record of Bills of Entry and submission of the same to respective banks for imported consignments after their customs clearance.
· Import Budget and Report Preparation
· Prepare comparative statement (as and when required).
· Prepare import budget and placing to MD Secretariat for approval to establish budgetary control.
· Prepare import status and communicate to relevant authorities to ensure accountability.
