Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or any other relevant discipline from a recognized university.
MBA or professional certification in Supply Chain/Procurement will be considered an added advantage.
Experience in a Group of Companies, Manufacturing, Steel, Engineering, Construction or Industrial Organization is highly preferred.
Strong knowledge of strategic sourcing, procurement planning, vendor development and contract negotiation.
Hands-on experience in purchasing industrial machinery, mechanical & electrical spare parts, construction materials, factory consumables, office equipment and general supplies.
Sound knowledge of procurement policies, comparative statement (CS) preparation, supplier evaluation and inventory coordination.
Excellent commercial negotiation, analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management abilities.
Proficient in MS Office (especially Excel) and ERP/Purchase Management Systems.
Sanji Group of Companies is seeking a competent, proactive and result-oriented Assistant Manager – Purchase to oversee procurement operations from the Head Office. The incumbent will be responsible for planning, sourcing and managing procurement activities across the Group, ensuring timely availability of materials and services while maintaining quality, cost efficiency and compliance with company policies. The role requires close coordination with factories, project sites, finance and user departments to support uninterrupted business operations and achieve procurement excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and manage procurement activities for all business units of the Group from the Head Office.
Develop procurement strategies to ensure timely, cost-effective and quality sourcing of goods and services.
Identify, evaluate and develop reliable suppliers through continuous market research and vendor assessment.
Source quotations, prepare Comparative Statements (CS), conduct commercial evaluations and obtain management approval.
Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules and contract conditions to achieve maximum commercial benefit.
Procure industrial machinery, mechanical & electrical spare parts, construction materials, factory consumables, office equipment and other operational requirements.
Monitor purchase orders, supplier performance and delivery schedules to ensure uninterrupted operations.
Maintain procurement records, supplier databases, contracts and supporting documentation in compliance with company policies and audit requirements.
Coordinate closely with factories, project teams, finance, accounts and user departments to ensure smooth procurement execution.
Analyze procurement data, market trends and supplier performance to identify cost-saving opportunities and process improvements.
Ensure compliance with internal controls, procurement policies and applicable regulatory requirements.
Lead, mentor and develop the purchase team while performing any other responsibilities assigned by Management.
