- Basic knowledge of logistics, stock and inventory management.
- Good working knowledge of MS Excel and MS Word.
- Good record-keeping and documentation skills.
- Ability to follow up procurement and logistics requirements.

Reported To: Finance and Logistic Officer
Job Purpose of Logistician:
To ensure the timely, efficient, transparent and accountable management of logistics and supplies for the Pulse NCD project across both host-community and the Camp-12 NCD Health Post (HP). The Logistician will be responsible for coordinating logistics planning, inventory and asset management, requisition and procurement follow-up, receipt and distribution of supplies, and maintaining accurate logistics documentation and records. The position will work closely with the Finance and Logistics Officer, Program Officer, Procurement Officer and field team staff to ensure that essential medical, non-medical and operational supplies are available at the right time and in the required quantity to support uninterrupted project implementation and quality service delivery.
Job Responsibilities:
Logistics Planning and Inventory Management
- Track and maintain updated records of all logistics items, medical supplies, equipment, furniture and other project-related items at both host-community (HC) activities and the NCD Health Post (HP).
- Update logistics registers and Excel-based inventory/stock records regularly and ensure that records reflect the actual physical stock.
- Monitor minimum and maximum stock levels and provide timely alerts to prevent stock-outs and overstocking.
Requisition and Procurement Coordination
- Receive logistics requisitions from field teams and review them for completeness and availability.
- Consolidate logistics requirements and prepare Purchase Requisitions (PRs) in coordination with the relevant technical/project team.
- Submit completed PRs to the Procurement Officer and maintain proper documentation of submitted requests.
- Closely follow-up with and support the Procurement Officer regarding the status of PRs, quotations, purchase orders, delivery schedules and pending procurements.
Distribution and Delivery
- Coordinate the receipt, inspection and distribution of procured logistics items to HC field office and the camp HP.
- Verify quantities and specifications of received items against purchase orders, delivery notes and requisitions.
- Ensure that items are properly documented when received and distributed.
- Maintain Goods Received Notes/receiving documentation and other relevant logistics records.
- Coordinate transportation and delivery of logistics items to project-supported facilities when required.
- Ensure proper storage and handling of logistics items at the project level.
- Coordinate transportation arrangements, vehicle requests, and movement of supplies between project locations as required.
Monitoring and Reporting
- Present logistics needs and updates during weekly meetings.
- Maintain a tracker for pending requisitions and procurement actions and regularly update the concerned staff.
- Maintain a proper filing system for PRs, quotations, purchase orders, delivery notes, requisitions, distribution records and other logistics documents.
Coordination and Field Support
- Regularly communicate with HC team and the Camp HP to identify upcoming logistics requirements and prevent stock-outs.
- Support project teams in planning logistics requirements for trainings, meetings, awareness sessions, campaigns, facility activities and other project events.
Asset and Equipment Management
- Monitor the condition and functionality of project-supported equipment and report damaged or non-functional items to management.
- Coordinate repair and maintenance requirements with the appropriate personnel and service providers.
- Maintain an updated asset register and ensure proper asset tagging, tracking, and documentation of asset movements.
Quality, Ethics, and Compliance
- Maintain patient confidentiality and follow organizational Code of Conduct, PSEA, and workplace safety policies.
- Participate in regular team meetings for information sharing, coordination, and service improvement.
- Attend trainings, capacity-building activities, and organizational programs as assigned.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor relevant to Health Post operations.
