• At least 5 years as Laundry Supervisor / Assistant Laundry Manager in an upper-upscale or five-star hotel.

• Pre-opening experience in a five-star / upper-upscale hotel will be considered a strong advantage.

• Experience with international hotel brands in the Dhaka market will be an added advantage.

• Strong knowledge of laundry equipment, detergents, chemicals, fabrics and modern laundry processes.

• Excellent command of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Strong financial acumen, cost-control and inventory management skills.

• Well-groomed, organized, focused and detail-oriented with pleasing personality.

• Excellent communication skills in English (written & verbal).

• Strong problem-solving, analytical and leadership abilities.

• Ability to mentor and lead a team, work under pressure and remain available on call as per business demands.

• Excellent guest service orientation and interpersonal skills.

Job Context
Q Hotel Dhaka – a concern of Quality Hospitality Limited – is an upcoming Five-Star Hotel with Multi-Purpose Office Complex featuring two independent 20-storied towers (built-up area more than 35,000 sqm) located at Purbachal New Town, adjacent to the 300 Feet Express Way. The hotel will feature 152 well-appointed guestrooms & suites (including 2 Presidential Suites), 4 international standard restaurants & lounge, multi-purpose banquet & conference facilities, outdoor heated swimming pool, gymnasium, spa & wellness centre.

The hotel is currently in the pre-opening phase and is expected to commence full operation in Q4 2026. We are looking for a highly competent, hands-on and result-oriented professional for the position of Assistant Laundry Manager.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist the Laundry Manager / Executive Housekeeper in the overall management and efficient operation of the hotel’s laundry department to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, presentation and timely delivery of all linen, towels, uniforms, staff clothing and guest laundry.

• Plan, organise and supervise daily laundry operations including washing, drying, ironing, folding, quality inspection and distribution of guest room linen, F&B linen, banquet linen, spa linen, staff uniforms and guest laundry.

• Ensure strict adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs), hygiene protocols, chemical handling guidelines and infection-control standards as per five-star hotel and brand requirements.

• Monitor and control consumption of water, electricity, steam, detergents, chemicals and other utilities to achieve maximum cost efficiency without compromising quality.

• Maintain accurate inventory of all linen and uniforms, implement effective linen control systems, minimise loss/damage and prepare regular linen status reports.

• Supervise laundry equipment operation, schedule preventive maintenance in coordination with Engineering, and ensure minimal equipment downtime.

• Manage laundry team scheduling, attendance, productivity, training and performance to maintain high operational standards and guest satisfaction.

• Coordinate closely with Housekeeping, F&B, Kitchen, Banquet, Spa, Engineering and Front Office to ensure uninterrupted supply of clean linen and uniforms at all times.

• Handle guest laundry and dry-cleaning services with utmost care, ensuring accurate billing, timely delivery and complete guest satisfaction.

• Implement and monitor safety, health and environmental practices in the laundry department.

• Assist in budgeting, cost control, chemical stock management and continuous process improvement initiatives.

• Perform any other duties assigned by the superior as per business requirements.
