Additional Requirements: - Should have trained and experienced in labor and industrial matters.
- Should have good command on English, both written and in verbal form good interpersonal, communicative and analytical skills.
- Must have strong knowledge in Compliance very good command over MS office application & Internet.
- Must be skilled in Bangladesh EPZ Labor Law, industrial relations, and grievance or complaint resolution.
Responsibilities & Context: - To encourage the formation of various worker committees, joint production committees, cooperative societies, and welfare committees, and to supervise their activities.
- To look after various facilities (such as—canteens, rest rooms, childcare centers, adequate sanitation facilities, drinking water, etc.).
- To assist workers regarding the granting of leave with pay and to keep workers informed about any leave and other legal provisions.
- Involve in counselling and follow up pregnant workers, ensuring Maternity benefits.
- To provide training to newly recruited workers, and to advise the authorities on improving the standard of education of workers and providing encouragement and nomination for their participation in training at technical institutes.
- To maintain communication with the Medical Officer of the factory or establishment regarding the medical facilities for workers.
- To provide necessary assistance and advice to the management authority and workers in implementing the rules and regulations applicable to the establishment.
- To discuss matters regarding wages and terms of employment with the representatives of both the employer and the workers.
- To take prompt initiative for an amicable settlement if any dispute arises between the employer and the workers.
- To understand the grievances of workers and assist the employer and workers in resolving mutual disputes.
- To establish a liaison and discussion mechanism to maintain a cooperative relationship between the employer or factory management and the workers.
- To take steps to improve labor-management relations.
- Prepare necessary reports and submit to management regularly, as and when required.
