- Strong understanding of data center infrastructure - Should have a strong understanding of the fundamental principles of data center infrastructure, including power and cooling, cabling, network architecture, and security.
- Experience with data center design and deployment - Should have experience with data center design and deployment, including rack and server layout, network topology, and storage architecture.
- Experience with server and storage systems - Should have experience with server and storage systems such as RAID, SAN, and NAS.
- Strong knowledge of Linux systems administration: Should be comfortable with Linux commands and have experience with administering Linux servers and services. Should also be able to install, manage and configure these systems effectively.
- Experience with device management: Should have experience with device management, including managing desktops, laptops, and mobile devices using tools like Microsoft Intune, SCCM, or other similar tools.
- Strong knowledge of Windows Server operating systems: Should have a strong understanding of Windows Server operating systems, including Windows Server 2012, 2016, and 2019, and should be able to manage and configure these systems effectively.
- Experience with Active Directory: Should have experience with Active Directory (AD) administration, including group policy management, user and computer account management, DNS, and DHCP
- Experience with virtualization technologies: Should have worked with virtualization technologies like VMware or Xen, and should be able to manage virtual machines and hosts.
- Experience with monitoring and alerting tools: Should have knowledge of security best practices and protocols, such as SSL, SSH, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Knowledge of network technologies: Should have a strong understanding of networking technologies such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and firewalls.
- Experience with backup and disaster recovery: should have experience with backup and disaster recovery tools, strategies and techniques.
- Experience with automation tools: Should have experience with automation tools like Ansible, Puppet or Chef, to automate system configuration and deployment.
- Familiarity with security best practices: Should have knowledge of security best practices and protocols, such as SSL, SSH, firewalls, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills: Should have strong problem-solving skills, be able to troubleshoot issues quickly, and have experience resolving complex technical issues.
- Good communication skills: should be able to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical personnel and should be good at writing documentation. Also, can lead a technical team of professionals.
- Overall Minimum 5-years work experience in Data Center Management & System Administration in either multinational or any BASIS Member Company.
