Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Yearly project planning, Budgeting and liaison for the project implementation
∎ Production planning and implementation of charka spinning and endi fabrics weaving
∎ Ensure all the logistic and management support for the smooth implementation of sericulture project
∎ Team building, Staff’s development in technical and management aspects
∎ Monitoring and supervision of all sericulture activities
∎ Assist all the team members to achieve the projected activities and targets
∎ Products quality and cost control
∎ Production report preparation, liaison and coordination with all concerned peoples to ensure the other processing (washing & dyeing) of the products
∎ Regular communication with BRAC Sericulture enterprise and Aarong quality team to ensure the marketing & sales of endi fabrics
∎ Awareness building of Gender issue and safe guarding issues as per safe guarding policy
∎ Conduct internal audit and other compliances management issues
∎ Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so
∎ Unit Manager, Weaving and Spinning is responsible for community mobilization, employment creation and income generation for Rohingya women through training and necessary logistic support for the implementation of charka spinning & endi lachi/ yarn production, weaving & endi fabrics production and products/ fabrics marketing. Liaison and coordination with concerned staffs and stakeholders.
