Job Responsibilities:
∎ Coordinate to implement the overall operational plan for gender mainstreaming and disability inclusion in the FDMN and Host communities in HCMP
∎ Provide technical guidance to other sectors/clusters (Education, Health, DRR, Shelter, Protection) in HCMP to ensure gender mainstreaming and disability inclusion
∎ Support capacity building for staff, partners, volunteers, community groups, in HCMP on implementing activities for gender mainstreaming and disability inclusion
∎ Provide technical support to the sectors/clusters in HCMP in facilitating training on gender mainstreaming and on the use of gender-analysis tools, gender-sensitive monitoring and reporting
∎ Take initiative for gender skill transfer of selected staff, volunteers, partners in HCMP
∎ Organize, facilitate and participate in local level meeting, dialogue, training, workshop, event on gender and disability issues etc
∎ Ensure effective local level advocacy and mmaintain key professional networks, relationships with other partners, national and international agencies, civil society organisations working on gender and disability issues at the local level.
∎ Organize and celebrate days and events for promoting gender equality and disability inclusion in FDMN and Host communities in Coxs Bazar
∎ Identify operational challenges and take steps for problem solving for ensuring gender mainstreaming and disability inclusion
∎ Ensure effective field-based budget expenditure in collaboration with local accounts in Cox’s Bazar
∎ Ensure regular documentation and reporting to respective supervisor
∎ Prepare monthly and annual plan action plan, meeting plan, periodic progress report, set targets and deliver to respective supervisor
∎ Ensure the safety of team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation to achieve the programme’s goals on safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place, encourage others to do so.
Additional Requirements:
∎ Three to five years professional experience in the field of gender and development, gender mainstreaming/ gender integration, women empowerment, Violence against women issues.
∎ Strong interpersonal communication skills
∎ Good capacity and management skill of field operation
∎ Facilitated different training session, workshop and meeting.
∎ Ability of strong coordination and partnership building
∎ Ability to do hard work with utmost dedication and integrity
∎ Sound understanding on gender equality, women empowerment and development.
∎ Good understanding of the organization’s goals and objectives.
