Job Purpose
To develop, test, and continuously improve industrial-grade coatings (e.g., epoxy, polyurethane, marine, heat-resistant, enamel, anti-corrosive), with a focus on product innovation, client-specific customization, quality, and cost optimization-ensuring alignment with Aqua Paints performance.
Key Responsibilities
Formulation & Development
Develop and optimize cost-effective, performance-driven formulations.
Provide client-specific customization based on application needs (e.g., shipyard, structural steel, thermal plants).
Support scale-up of successful lab trials to factory-level production.
Raw Material Evaluation
Recommend cost effectively and high-quality alternatives through global supplier research.
Ensure raw material trials are aligned with inventory and procurement constraints.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Attend joint field visits with Sales & Marketing to understand performance issues.
Assist in technical presentations to key industrial clients when needed.
KPIs
Minimum 2 successful product formulations per quarter
<2% batch rejection rate during scale-up
5% reduction in cost via raw material substitution annually
On-time documentation of TDS/SDS for every launched product
As per company policy commensurate with experience and qualification.
