Additional Requirements:
  • Age 35 to 40 years
  • 10-12 years Relevant experience in trims and accessories procurement in the garment / textile industries.
  • Strong negotiation and cost analysis skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of textile and garment trims and accessories sourcing.
  • Excellent understanding of international and local procurement regulations.
  • Ability to manage multi-vendor sourcing strategies and supplier evaluation processes.
  • Exposure to customs, commercial documentation, and logistics for imported items.
  • Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Familiarity with quality compliance standards (e.g., buyer-specific protocols).
  • Time management skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities under pressure.


Responsibilities & Context:

The incumbent will lead the trims and accessories procurement team, ensuring sourcing excellence, cost-effectiveness, timely delivery, and supplier compliance with buyer requirements. This role demands proactive vendor management, collaboration across departments, and strategic thinking to support overall production goals.

  • Lead and manage the procurement of trims and accessories aligned with the sourcing strategy.

  • Develop and evaluate new vendors for quality, cost, and timely delivery.

  • Liaise with merchandising teams for accurate style-wise procurement planning.

  • Oversee supplier developments and ensure adherence to buyer specifications.

  • Place and track POs to ensure timely in-house delivery.

  • Review and approve vendor cost negotiations and comparison reports.

  • Monitor inventory and review requisitions.

  • Maintainthe accuracy of ERP records on order placement and tracking.

  • Resolve escalated issues with suppliers on lead times, shipments, payments.

  • Verify Proforma Invoices and payment schedules in coordination with commercial/audit teams.

  • Mentor procurement staff and drive process improvements.

  • Produce procurement MIS reports and advise management on risks, savings, and KPIs
