Educational Requirements:
∎ M. Com/MBA in Finance/Accounting. (Preferably from Public/ Private University)
∎ Completion of CA/CC Part will be given preference.
Experience Requirements:
∎ 3 to 5 year(s)
Job Responsibilities:
∎ Oversee all corporate income Tax and VAT-related queries and filings in the right manner and tax planning for assessment.
∎ Assure submission of income Tax & VAT returns in due time along with the required documents.
∎ Prepare quarterly and annual tax compliance reports of the company.
∎ Ensuring that tax returns are filed in accordance with taxes law in time.
∎ Assure the accuracy of records and submission to the Tax’s office based on requirements.
∎ Be in control of researching tax compliance issues at every level as per NBR requirements, updating with recent amendments.
∎ Face Board, Appeal, Tribunal, and different Authorities.
∎ Establish internal control systems based on necessity and make sure regular updates of Tax & VAT documents accordingly.
∎ Maintaining the books of accounts of VAT as applicable for the company.
∎ To prepare and maintain VAT register and records as per law by E-VAT software.
∎ Submit VAT Return and other documents to VAT authority in a timely manner.
∎ Prepare monthly VAT reconciliation.
∎ Handling of VAT case related works.
∎ Coordinating and support services for VAT audit conducted by VAT authorities.
∎ Monitoring of VAT payable & treasury deposit.
∎ Liaison and closely work with VAT regulators and solve the barriers related to company VAT issues.
∎ Oversee VDS and on time return submission/filings
∎ Regularly reviewing the application VAT in the Company and its systems and making updates and improvements where necessary.
∎ To ensure proper compliance as per Bangladesh VAT Act.
∎ To monitor monthly TDS/VDS deduction from the applicable heads of accounts and deposit to the Govt. exchequer.
∎ Checking VAT Challan Provided by the Vendor.
∎ Any other VAT & Tax related task assigned by management time to time.
∎ Any other duties assigned by the seniors and the management as and when required.
Additional Requirements:
∎ At least 2 years’ experience of handling TAX & VAT independently of a group of companies.
