Responsibilities & Context:
  • Ensure that all budgeted positions in the area filled with properly trained and equipped Worker and Staffs.

  • Ensure all relevant area of the manufacturing management receive proper support from industrial engineering department.

  • Participate in product development process to ensure effective startup of new styles, as and when required.

  • Assist the production team in critical areas with proper working method and carry out evaluation to help perform the line with its fullest capacity and efficiency.

  • Monitor daily routing work of all IE staffs including production accounting.

  • Finalize Operation Bulletins (OB), line targets, line balancing for any new styles.

  • Closely follow up "Change Over Time (COT)" for new styles.

  • Train operators for particular operation as needed for specific steps.

  • Continue to look for opportunity to implement work aids to reduce steps, time and cost

  • Should constantly look for methods to reduce the cost and improve efficiency.

  • Follow up Labor utilization and line balancing.

  • Carry out method study in cutting, sewing and finishing whenever required.

  • Setting of Standard Minute Value for new operations.

  • Confirming of Standard Minute Value and line target.

  • Preplanning of man, machine and attachment requirements

  • Update Machine & Man power requirement for next 3 months by last week of every month.

  • Check and monitor Machine Shortage /surplus with Maintenance manager and make the final MC requirement for approval from the management with provision for rent if required.

  • Calculate Manpower for all the sections/ departments and arrange to fill in any shortages in consultation with HR Manger with prior approval from MD/ Management.
