Additional Requirements: Responsibilities & Context: - Oversee the full employee journey, including recruitment, onboarding, performance management, employee relations, and separation.
- Design and implement HR strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with business objectives, while ensuring fair and transparent practices.
- Supervise payroll, attendance, and leave management in coordination with the Accounts/Finance Department, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
- Act as a bridge between management and employees by addressing grievances, promoting welfare programs, and driving employee engagement and retention initiatives.
- Ensure 100% compliance with the Bangladesh Labour Act 2006 (and amendments), BNBC, Fire Prevention Act, and all other relevant legal requirements.
- Lead and ensure compliance in all buyer and third-party audits, including social, ethical, technical, security, and environmental (BSCI, SEDEX, WRAP, CTPAT, SCAN, GSV, ISO 14001, Higg FEM), as well as Buyer Audits (IKEA, H&M, ZARA, Walmart, Target USA) and TC (GRS, OCS, RCS, GOTS).
- Prepare, update, and maintain compliance records; conduct regular internal audits and risk assessments.
- Promote a safe, healthy, and hygienic workplace by organizing fire drills, safety training, and first-aid programs, while ensuring effective functioning of the Safety Committee and maintenance of all safety equipment.
- Lead environmental and sustainability programs including energy efficiency, waste management, chemical handling, and water recycling, supporting long-term ESG goals.
- Identify training needs and implement capacity-building sessions on Code of Conduct, Anti-Harassment, Compliance, Fire Safety, First Aid, Security Awareness, Soft Skills, and performance appraisal systems to strengthen workforce capabilities.
