Educational Requirements:
∎ Completed advance university degree from an accredited academic institution in Medicine as a Medical Doctor with post-graduate degree or diploma in Anaesthesiology.

Job Responsibilities:
∎ The incumbent will work as a team member of specialised doctors and operation theatre staff in managing both elective and emergency surgeries including Caesarean Sections.
∎ Administer anaesthesia or sedation and appropriate pain management during surgical procedures, using local, intravenous, spinal, or caudal methods in accordance to standard guidelines.
∎ Monitor patient before, during, and after anaesthesia and counteract adverse reactions or complications, such as provision of fluids and blood.
∎ Provide and maintain life support and airway management and help prepare patients for emergency surgery.
∎ Examine patient, obtain medical history, and use diagnostic tests to determine risk during surgical, obstetrical, and other medical procedures.
∎ Position patient on operating table to maximize patient comfort and surgical accessibility.
∎ Decide when patients have recovered or stabilized enough to be sent to the post-operative room or ward or to be sent home following outpatient surgery.
∎ Coordinate administration of anaesthetics with surgeons during operation.
∎ Confer with other medical professionals to determine type and method of anaesthetic or sedation to render patient insensible to pain.
∎ Coordinate and direct work of nurses, medical technicians, and other health care providers working as the operation theatre team.
∎ Provide medical care and consultation in various settings, prescribing medication and treatment and referring patients for surgery.
∎ Support other theatre staff and train them on proper way to provide optimal care to patients needing surgery as well as the proper post-surgery care.
∎ Schedule and maintain stock and proper use of surgical suite, including operating instruments, wash-up materials, waiting rooms, and anaesthetic and sterilizing equipment.
∎ Provide appropriate quantifications of OT supplies for ordering from warehouse to avoid stock out
∎ Instruct individuals and groups on ways to preserve health and prevent disease. Provide specialised advices to the field health team of IOM in case of critical patient management.
∎ Conduct medical research to aid in controlling and curing disease, to investigate new medications, and to develop and test new medical techniques.
∎ Liaise and coordinate with local Government and health authorities and other stakeholders with a view to strengthening of health care delivery systems
∎ Assist the National Programme Officer in project monitoring and identifying priority health needs and other activities including but not limited to regular disease outbreak monitoring and reporting to the health authorities and take part in health awareness campaign, etc.
∎ When required, take part in coordination meetings, workshops, training events and conferences at the field and district level.
∎ Perform such other duties that may be assigned by the supervisors.

∎ Good in written communication in English and Bangla
∎ Computer skills in MS Word, Excel and Power Point
∎ Strong Interpersonal skills
∎ Experience Requirement:
∎ At least 05 (five) years of experience in relevant work.
∎ Knowledge and experience of working in public health sector in humanitarian crisis situation will be an added advantage.
∎ Work experience and knowledge of hospital administration or operation theatre management will be advantageous.
∎ Previous work in Government health system under the Upazila Health System (UHS) will add value to the position.
∎ Working experience in Cox's Bazar district and/or knowledge of the Forcedly Displaced Myanmar Nationals (FDMNs) will be a plus.

Salary:
∎ Monthly gross salary for this position is BDT 285426.83
