Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Sourcing fabrics as per buyer requirements by maintaining quality & competitive price;
∎ Collect different types of fabric hangers & samples from suppliers and submit it for buyer presentation;
∎ Analyze and identify the types & quality of fabrics, selection of fabrics supplier based on the quality of the fabrics to be developed for new source;
∎ Negotiating the price of different types of fabrics according to the customer’s target and nature of fabrics to be sourced with profit;
∎ Submit the approved quality to the Merchant/ Buyer;
∎ Selecting supplier by comparing price, quality, and reputation;
∎ Prepare the competitive & comparative statement and submit it to the Management for price approval;
∎ Negotiate & prepare contracts with the suppliers;
∎ Managing the suppliers to meet production needs;
∎ Attention to cost, quality, and timely delivery;
∎ Checking the quality of fabrics that to be used for garment factories of the group;
∎ Suggesting the corrective action plans if any inefficiencies/ negligence/ faults found in the quality of the fabrics;
∎ Regular visit to the market to find new vendors & to get the actual price of the fabrics;
∎ Maintaining a reliable and cost-effective supply of fabrics;
∎ Regularly communicating with the Management and report the present status accordingly.
