Job Context

Mitali Group, one of the leading business conglomerates in Bangladesh's Readymade Garments (RMG) sector, is seeking a highly competent and experienced Head of Factory for one of its sister concerns located at Porabari, Ghatail, Tangail (120 KM from Dhaka).

The selected candidate will be responsible for leading and managing the overall operations of a 15-line knit garments manufacturing factory, ensuring operational excellence, productivity, quality, compliance, and profitability while maintaining world-class manufacturing standards.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the overall operations of the factory with strong leadership and effective decision-making.

• Ensure smooth and efficient operation of a 15-line knit garments manufacturing unit.

• Plan, organize, and monitor production activities to achieve daily and monthly production targets.

• Coordinate all departments including Production, IE, Planning, Quality, Maintenance, Commercial, HR & Compliance, Store, Cutting, Sewing, Finishing, and Shipment to ensure seamless operations.

• Ensure on-time shipment by maintaining TNA and production schedules.

• Develop and implement strategies to improve productivity, reduce production costs, minimize wastage, and maximize profitability.

• Monitor production efficiency, machine utilization, labor productivity, DHU, rejection rate, and overall factory performance.

• Ensure compliance with buyer requirements, local labor laws, and international compliance standards including BSCI, RSC, and customer technical audits.

• Maintain high standards of product quality throughout the manufacturing process.

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and process optimization.

• Ensure proper inventory control and coordinate with Supply Chain, Commercial, and Procurement teams for uninterrupted production.

• Build, mentor, and motivate departmental heads and factory employees to achieve organizational goals.

• Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy working environment by enforcing occupational health and safety policies.
