Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Installation, Maintenance & Repair and keep the mobile base software functioning like Kobo, BRAC HCMP App etc. and provide day to day support.
∎ Conduct and ensure the coordinates (longitude and latitude) data collection through GPS of Shelters and Site Improvements interventions with engaging to all Technical Officer-Shelter in collaboration of Assistant Technical Specialist and Technical Specialist (Cluster Focal) of Shelter.
∎ Provide effective guidance and support as well as make them (Technical Officer-Shelter) capable to collect accurate GPS information for the project interventions through provide on the job training.
∎ Provide effective and efficient spatial data analysis and reporting including presentation and dissemination of spatial data.
∎ Prepare geo-spatial database and different types of Shelter facility maps for visualization and act as the focal person of information management in Shelter Sector and maintain a good professional networking with sector partners and perform any other related duties assign by the Sector Lead Shelter & NFI
∎ Conduct training sessions on mapping exercises for the volunteers, peers, and other relevant stakeholders.
∎ Identify the geo-spatial data gap through field observation, Focus Group Discussion (FGD), Key Informant Interview (KII) with MIS team, camp manager, site planner, DDR IM officers, and site management team.
∎ Support baseline surveys including geospatial data collection tools, ensure the quality of data, analyze data, and prepare maps and reports.
∎ Visualize geospatial project output through graphs, maps, and dashboards and generate reports.
∎ Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
∎ This position is responsible to conduct and ensure the coordination (longitude and latitude) of Shelters and Site Improvements interventions through GPS with engaging to all Technical Officer- Shelter in collaboration of Assistant Technical Specialist-Shelter. Provide effective guidance and make them (staffs) capable of collecting accurate Geospatial information for the project interventions. Also provide effective and efficient spatial data analysis and reporting including presentation and dissemination of spatial data expending times/days to 80% in fields and 20% in official works. He/she is reportable to Project Manager, Programme Quality & Knowledge Management.
