Responsibilities & Context:
∎ Ensuring execution excellence in the end-to-end capacity strengthening cycle; from capacity building/training need analysis, content development, design of experiential learning tools, pilot testing / dry run, ensure stakeholder relationship and satisfaction, delivery of training workshops, TOT and assessment of learning shifts of participating Bangladeshi organizations.
∎ Conducting needs assessments to identify training/capacity development objectives and evaluate their effectiveness. Collaborate with stakeholders to identify training needs and develop appropriate training materials with subject matter experts.
∎ Working closely with subject matter experts to design customized content. Learn, understand and implement programs as per the USAID and FH360 best practices and guidelines.
∎ Discussing with management and select appropriate instructional methods and procedures for each unique situation; example: group training/group instruction, individual mentoring, self-study, simulation exercises, lectures, demonstrations, role play, computer-based training, distance training and so forth.
∎ Acting as a bridge between project management and project sub-award partners; if any challenges or problems arise, s/he must establish strong relations with relevant stakeholders to ensure problems are solved with minimum supervision or intervention of top management.
∎ Working very closely with the participating Bangladeshi organizations on pre-program (workshop) and post-program (workshop) activities.
∎ Designing appropriate training/capacity building schedules and learning strategies based on the identified training needs in the project.
∎ Utilizing data-driven methods to measure and track participants’ performance and training progress; measure learning effectiveness / shift of participants and participating Bangladeshi organizations and provide reports for management.
∎ Performing similar duties as deemed fit for the proper execution of duties and also duties delegated by management.
∎ JOB PURPOSE: BRAC is actively seeking a Senior Officer, Capacity Strengthening for Bangladesh America Maitree Activity (BAMA), a substantial project with a budget of USD 48 million. This 5-year program aims to enhance the capacity of local organizations aligned with USAID's strategic objectives in Bangladesh. Through a careful selection process, chosen local organizations will receive funding to implement programs, with a strong emphasis on strengthening their institutional capabilities.
∎ The Senior Officer, Capacity Strengthening plays a key role in the Maitree Project’s organizational capacity strengthening of recipient organizations to compete for grants and implement development interventions. This role demands the ability to work collaboratively with other units as well as independently, managing the end-to-end process of training and capacity development of the sub-award partners; from need analysis to customized content development, design of programs and workshops, delivery, TOT and assessment/analysis of quality and learning shifts of participants.

∎ SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES
∎ Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
∎ Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
∎ Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.
