Responsibilities & Context:
  • Oversee all store operations including receiving, safe storage, issuance, and timely delivery of materials.
  • Monitor inventory levels regularly to ensure stock availability and prevent shortages.
  • Conduct periodic stocktaking, reconciliation, and audit support with proper documentation.
  • Ensure systematic tagging, binning, and documentation of materials following FIFO/FEFO or other inventory methods.
  • Implement and monitor ERP or inventory management systems for accurate stock records.
  • Supervise and guide store staff by assigning tasks and ensuring compliance with operational procedures.
  • Ensure quality checking of incoming and outgoing materials according to company standards.
  • Liaise with procurement, production, and accounts departments for timely material flow.
  • Maintain effective communication with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth operations.
  • Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly reports on inventory movement, discrepancies, and overall store performance.
  • Maintain proper safety standards in receiving, storing, and handling of materials.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, audit requirements, and standard operating procedures.
  • Continuously review store processes, identify gaps, and implement improvements to enhance efficiency.
  • Maintain cleanliness, organization, and proper layout of the store facilities.
  • Ensure full documentation of receipts, issues, returns, and reconciliation for traceability and audit purposes.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors by providing necessary data and explanations regarding stock.
  • Lead the store department as a whole, ensuring alignment of staff performance and departmental goals with organizational objectives.
